It begins with a dream

At Lammertink we understand how important it is to be fully informed before you start restoring your Porsche. That is why we first ask you to send detailed photos of your car. The more photos, the better, because this gives us a first global impression of the condition of the Porsche.

We then invite you to our workshop for an extensive assessment of your Porsche. During this visit we would like to hear your story and discuss all your wishes. From Bodywork to Perfection

Restoring a Porsche starts with the basics: the bodywork. As soon as your Porsche enters our workshop, we immediately start with a precise and detailed process. The first step is to completely strip the bodywork. All parts are carefully taken apart and labeled, so that it becomes clear which parts are eligible for overhaul or replacement.

After stripping the car, we take the Porsche to our own sheet metal workshop, where we thoroughly assess the condition of the sheet metal. We strip the Porsche and tackle any visible rust formation immediately. The bodywork then undergoes an acid bath, which makes weak spots visible. These vulnerable parts are expertly repaired before the car is treated again and provided with a durable KTL coating. This coating protects against future rust formation.

Because classic Porsches were built by hand, the sheet metal is often less precise than in modern cars. This makes the sheet metal a crucial part of a successful Porsche restoration. Our team strives for perfection: every seam must be even and every part must fit the first time. This is how we ensure that your Porsche is not only in top condition, but also looks like new again.

After the sheet metal, the next step in the Porsche restoration begins: spraying the bodywork. We do this in a traditional way, with each layer of paint being carefully applied and hardening in a natural process, without the use of drying machines. This classic spraying process ensures an authentic and durable finish. After spraying, the car undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure the quality of the paintwork.

Behind the scenes, various parts are being overhauled, blasted and coated. The interior is prepared by our master upholsterer. The seats and dashboard have already received the necessary attention. In addition, the engine block has already been completely overhauled and the chassis has been adapted to the customer’s specific wishes. As soon as the paintwork has been approved, we can immediately start the construction phase.

Our restoration work is tailor-made:
every seam must be tight and every part must fit perfectly. With more than 25 years of experience, we know exactly how to restore your classic Porsche to perfection. The overhauled engine block is placed on the test bench for an extensive check. Only when the engine has been fully approved will it be installed.

During the restoration process of your classic Porsche, you are very welcome to visit our workshop, view the progress and receive a personal update from the technicians responsible for the restoration process. After the construction phase, the test phase follows. Every detail is tested to ensure that the engine runs smoothly and all systems function properly.

Once everything has been perfectly adjusted and to ensure that your Porsche has been completely restored to the highest standards, no car leaves our workshop without the stamp of approval from our Zertifizierter Porsche Classic Techniker: Edwin Lammertink himself. Then it is time to experience the highlight of the process: the handover of your perfectly restored Porsche.

After completion of the restoration, our specialists thoroughly carry out all necessary tests to ensure quality and guarantee that your Porsche is authentic to the core.

When your Porsche has passed all inspections, you will receive a full test report from us and we will invite you for the handover of your Porsche.
