Restoration

A Porsche used to be made by hand, so no two classic Porsches are exactly the same. Sometimes the difference is in the smallest details, a millimeter difference, or less.

Porsche 901

In the past, a Porsche was simply not made in Zuffenhausen as it is today. The cars were made in small series, with simple machines and mechanical tools. Many finishing details and final checks were done by hand and ‘by the human eye’.
And so, restoring a Porsche requires more than just training, the right tools, the user manual and the instruction book. In Germany, they have a nice word for that: the ‘Fingerspitzengefühl’.
Restoring a classic Porsche is often a matter of intuition and requires a bit of courage. At Lammertink, we have been working on the iconic Porsche brand for more than 25 years with unparalleled passion and we have been been able to carry out more than 100 restoration projects.

“We don’t stop until it’s perfect, no concessions. This is our promise when it comes to the restoration of your valuable Porsche.”

From Bodywork to Perfection

Behind the scenes, various parts are being overhauled, blasted and coated. The interior is prepared by our master upholsterer. The seats and dashboard have already received the necessary attention. In addition, the engine block has already been completely overhauled and the chassis has been adapted to the customer’s specific wishes. As soon as the paintwork has been approved, we can immediately start the construction phase.

Our restoration work is tailor-made:
every seam must be tight and every part must fit perfectly. With more than 25 years of experience, we know exactly how to restore your classic Porsche to perfection. The overhauled engine block is placed on the test bench for an extensive check. Only when the engine has been fully approved will it be installed.

During the restoration process of your classic Porsche, you are very welcome to visit our workshop, view the progress and receive a personal update from the technicians responsible for the restoration process. After the construction phase, the test phase follows. Every detail is tested to ensure that the engine runs smoothly and all systems function properly.

At Lammertink, restoring a Porsche always starts with the basics: the bodywork. After the car has been completely stripped, each component is carefully assessed. Our experts in the sheet metal workshop ensure that rust formation is tackled and weak spots are meticulously repaired. This is followed by a protective KTL coating, so that your Porsche is resistant to future wear and tear.

At Lammertink, you as a customer have the freedom to choose between a fully original restoration or a restoration with modern upgrades. Would you like us to restore your Porsche to its original condition using the original screws and bolts? Or do you prefer modern technology, such as a classic radio with Bluetooth, high-end speakers or a sports chassis that provides more driving comfort and performance? Whatever your wishes, we make it possible.

The interior of a restored Porsche is just as important as the technical aspects. At Lammertink, we offer numerous options for the interior, from durable leather to fully personalized finishes. Do you want an authentic look with original materials or a modern interior with its own character? Choose from different colors, patterns and even personalized gages.
